Surf Lessons in La Jolla

There’s nothing like grabbing a board and paddling out, riding the waves, or going further out–exploring the sea. Out on the water, you’ll experience things you never thought possible. 

Our surf lessons in La Jolla focus first on the environment, the water, and the hazards that we’ll face. That includes wildlife, riptides, coral, and rocks. You’ll learn to navigate and avoid these dangers in a safe, controlled space, supervised by trained coaches–all of whom have their CPR and instructor certifications, as well as training as lifeguards.  

You’ll also learn about safety equipment, board leashes, and wetsuits–all of which will come provided, including the surfboards themselves. 

We already have everything you need to learn how to surf, and we know what we’re doing. We will have you standing up on your board at the end of the first lesson. 

Learning is a lot easier than you might think. You don’t need perfect coordination or some special skillset. There’s no prior training required, and most students find themselves riding the waves with the rest within the first 90 days. 

Aloha Surfer Girls surf school in La Jolla uses a simple, effective curriculum, capable of accommodating both beginner and intermediate students. We cater to those who’ve been surfing for years, and to those who’ve never touched a board in their entire life.

We’re proud to offer children ages 5 and up the chance to learn early. We offer private and semi-private surf lessons in La Jolla for kids. All children are closely monitored, and we keep class sizes small–allowing instructors to offer a safe, personalized learning experience.
